Vacuum-film molding
VFM principal difference from traditional ways is in technology of form manufacturing, namely, in the application:
• gas-permeable pattern equipment (metal or wood);
• synthetic elastic film;
• dry sand without a binder;
• vacuum as a means of luting forms.
Advantages:
• receive blanks high accuracy with minimal allowances on mechanical processing;
• manufacture blanks with surface roughness at the level RZ 40-80 microns;
• reducing the wall castings thickness in 1,2-1,3 times compared to casting in the dry sand and loam forms (DSLF);
• exception compounding operations;
• reducing the consumption of molding sand;
• improvement of sanitation conditions;
• minimal environmental damage.
The manufacture more than 1500 varieties of iron castings and non-ferrous metals by taw from 0.1 kg to tens of tons, of varying degrees of complexity, as well as artistic casting is developed.
