In accordance with Federal Program ”National technological base” in the sphere of researches & development item, named “Instrument” is being developed formulations and high technology manufacturing of flux cored wire (FCW) with a hermetic sheath(HS).

Advantages of FCW with HS in comparison with traditional FCW, built up by steel tape:
• lack of moisture absorption into the heart of flux cored wire
• long-term storage, even with the broken wire package,
• very low levels of diffused hydrogen in surfaced metal,
• resistance to mechanical deformations and the loss of round wire,
• wire has a clean coopered surface, which reduces the cost of consumables details welding equipment,
• excellent welding technology properties, including small spraying.

The manufacturing of high-stainless flux cored wire with a hermetic casing is developed. It containing up to 60% tungsten carbide for endurance details surfacing (screw conveyors for the filing of mass production for bricks), working under conditions of severe abrasions.

Specifications of FCW with HS containing powder secondary tungsten carbide

Designation

A brief description

Characteristics. Application

Low carbon steel

The particles of tungsten carbide (WC) with a hardness over 2200 HV, evenly distributed in a metal matrix.

Hardness’ 3 - go after surfacing layer - 63 HRC.
Used for significant abrasive and moderate shock loads.

Stainless steel

Hardness goes after surfacing layer - 61 HRC.
Used for significant abrasive and moderate shock loads. The high corrosion resistance. Used for significant abrasive and moderate shock loads. Has the high corrosion resistance.
